Mission Statement:  Mount Vernon At Home is "a village of caring friends and volunteers dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our community by offering practical solutions as well as soical and intellectual enrichment."

Vision Statement: "A sustainable nonprofit organization that supports the model of neighbors helping neighbors in a community that promotes aging in place."

Mount Vernon At Home is Virginia's premier "village." It was founded in 2007 by a small group of friends and neighbors who wanted to age in place in their homes and community neighborhoods. Mount Vernon At Home launched its initial programs in Fall 2009 and has grown to 180 members and 60 volunteers.

In 2012, Mount Vernon At Home accommodated 1,093 volunteer requests from our members and we made 95 referrals to preferred providers.  Additionally, Mount Vernon At Home sponsored over numerous events with participants attending 1,210 times.
